Second Annual DAWN Reception & Dinner
July 31, 2009
On July 31, 2009, DAWN celebrated its second anniversary with a reception and dinner at the Africare House, in Washington, DC. DAWNers and DAWNistas gathered to commemorate the organization's accomplishments as well as recognize some of its mentors who have helped the organization and its members along the way. The evening kicked off with an elegant reception, followed by an African-inspired dinner, DAWN memoir slideshow, welcoming remarks from the DAWN Executive Committee, and a keynote speech from our 2009 DAWN Mentor Guest of Honor, Ms. Jeannine B. Scott. |
